Kaagaz Banao — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 October 2026
Kaagaz Banao is a Chrome extension that records the steps you take in your browser and turns them into a step-by-step guide with screenshots.
What the extension handles
Only while you are recording, Kaagaz Banao records:
- Screenshots of the tab you are recording
- The pages you visit (title and address)
- The buttons and links you click and their labels
- Text you type into fields, except password and other sensitive fields
Where your data is stored
Everything stays on your computer, in your browser's local storage. Kaagaz Banao has no servers. It does not upload, sell, share or transfer your data to anyone, and it contains no analytics or advertising code.
How sensitive data is protected
Before a screenshot is saved, the extension blurs password fields and text that looks like personal data or secrets — including email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, API keys, Aadhaar and PAN numbers. Values typed into password and other sensitive fields are never read. Sensitive parts of page addresses (such as login codes and tokens) are removed. You can blur any other area yourself before sharing a guide.
Sharing
Guides leave your computer only when you export or copy them yourself (for example as a PDF or Word file). What you do with an exported file is up to you.
Deleting your data
Delete any guide from the Kaagaz Banao library at any time. Uninstalling the extension deletes all guides and screenshots it stored.
Permissions
The extension asks for access to websites so it can take screenshots of, and record steps on, the site you choose to record. It does nothing on a site unless you have started a recording.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
